Latest issue

This early spring issue’s main feature is, appropriately, all about youngstock. It's packed with articles on all aspects of rearing heifer replacements and beef-cross calves, from the key colostrum-feeding protocols that must be followed for successful passive transfer of protective antibodies through to the importance of monitoring health and performance and hitting milestone growth targets.

We also take a closer look at grazing and how to maximise both ley and cow performance, both at turnout and throughout the rest of the spring and coming summer season.

This also ties in with herd and dairy industry sustainability, which we also focus on in this issue. We have an update on how the industry is making significant progress on reducing GHG emissions and look at what producers can and are doing to mitigate the impact of dairying on the environment.
